Announcing MOSES and Maxsurf 2025 (25.00.02) The MOSES team is pleased to announce the release of MOSES and Maxsurf 2025 (25.00.02) MOSES 2025 (25.00.02) The static and quasi-static stability of floating wind turbines can now be evaluated with MOSES. This is accomplished via three new options on the RARM (righting arm) command: -LOAD , -THRUST , and - TRANSIENT . When either of these options are applied, MOSES will include an additional heeling moment in the righting arm calculations corresponding to wind loads from a turbine rotor in accordance with DNV-ST-0119 (June 2021). For more information on these new options users should consult the MOSES reference manual. This release also includes extensions to the second order hydrodynamics (QTF) capabilities. All off-diagonal terms in the difference frequency QTF matrix can now be computed directly via Pinkster's approximation, thus improving the calculation of slow-varying drift forces in the time domain, pa...
